Since our opening in 2008, Terrain Cafe grew naturally from a small coffee shop nestled in the store to a full-service restaurant offering seasonally inspired brunch, dinner, and beverage menus. Our dedicated culinary team works closely with purveyors to ethically source fresh, high-quality ingredients that lay the foundation for our nourishing dishes. Each cafe's unique and deliberately designed environment blurs the line between indoor and outdoor spaces, providing an inspiring dining experience every time. This specific cafe will always have unique roots, and we'll undoubtedly remain embedded in them as we grow.

    My meal was cold. I did eat it but told the waitress who apologized but did not over any type of accommodation. Maybe a dessert. Also the room was cold. Many patrons including us eat with their coats on. We sat in the bar area which I think was not in line with my reservation. With the temperature as cold as it is they shouldn’t use the front room. Overall I was disappointed especially since I was entertaining out of town guests.

    I wanted to be in the midst of plants and flowers and beautiful smells on this winter afternoon. Terrain did not disappoint. I ordered a large, delicious chicken pot pie, my husband had the Terrain burger and our friend ordered the omelet. No one was disappointed. We also shared dessert board, which arrived with a large variety of pastries. Important Note: they serve brunch daily until 4:00!!!! One caution. Come dressed warmly, it can be chilly in the cafe.

    Love this place, one of our favorites. Consistently excellent food and service, and considering those and the ambiance, it’s a very good value. Great place for a lunch or dinner date and also a family lunch. It’s probably the only place both of my sons - who disagree about all restaurants - both really like.

    Loved my harvest bowl, especially the crunchy chick peas... but falafels were like little balls of brick. Sorry! Otherwise, great experience and beautiful cafe.

    My Terrain Burger was excellent, as were the Truffle fries. I get it every time! My wife ordered the whole wheat pasta entree, felt the portion was a little small and not quite as hot as it should have been.

    We loved our private tent meal. Atmosphere could not have been better - unique, intimate, beautiful. Will say that there were many menu items that were out and therefore unavailable to us. This happened the last time we came to Terrain as well. Two entrees we had planned to order were sold out. The wine we chose was also unavailable. As was the dessert we had selected. This was disappointing. The food we ended up with was delicious. Hopefully the problems with inventory will be remedied - we will be back to try again.

    We came for our yearly holiday new years brunch. We love it here but maybe it was an off day? The service was slow, food didn’t not come out all together some of us got entrees and others had to wait. We ordered truffle fries and got regular, food was cold, they were out of bread so no French toast no bread for charcuterie board and the pitted bread was stale. Going out to eat is not cheap these days especially for 6 of us. This is a really special tradition we even pay extra for a woodland village cabin which was the highlight. The ambiance and the upgrade this year from a tent to a structures tiny cabin with electric heat was so nice. I just wish the meal was better.
