Terroni Adelaide, formerly the York County Courthouse, is a multi-level heritage structure built in 1852. Just inside the doors is the Enoteca with its towering columns, a great spot for cocktails. Beyond is the main dining room, with a sunlit atrium, fireplaces on each end and private rooms all serviced by an open kitchen where our chefs prepare traditional Italian fare. In summer, the secret garden patio opens for al fresco dining in the heart of the city.

Head down to the Cantina Wine Cellar where you will see the original courthouse cells now used to store our Italian wine. The second floor houses the grand Sala da Pranzo and Bar delle Carceri, named after the cells below. Il Covo degli Artisti, our third-floor space is a cosy lounge once home to The Arts and Letters Club where Canadian landscape painters “The Group of Seven” ate and drank in 1909.

I thought I was going to have a nice quiet evening with my wife but it turns out standard seating is very chaotic. The tables are way too close to each other and the environment is very loud. I was only informed after that there are different levels in the restaurant, if I knew there was this option I would 100% rather move. Overall very good place and good servers. The food is a bit too small of portion for its prices.

Terroni Adelaide is gorgeous, particularly where out table was. Everything was excellent, including service. My only complaint is that there was scant prosciutto in my pasta, which was disappointing.

They did not allow me to bring my outside cake in without notice - even though the host asked me to fill out a form for all the food I was bringing in when I walked in, but quickly backtracked when they realized it was for a different reso. So they DO let outside food in, just not cake because they want you to buy from their bakery. Oh but they did put the cake in the fridge for us, light candles and allowed us to take photos.. we just were not allowed to eat the cake. And no I did not think to call the restaurant to ask if they allow cakes because every restaurant I’ve been to has allowed outside cake (even with a cutting fee which I am fine with). The fact they don't let outside cake in because they want you to purchase from their bakery, I get it, it's a business move, but to not even give the person celebrating their birthday (or whatever occassion it may be) a free slice is greedy at best. Terroni's Group's estimated annual revenue is currently $75.9 MILLION per YEAR. You can't spare one birthday cake? That's revenue down the drain because they didn't purchase the tiramisu? Servers and hosts were excellent! Very nice, kind, apologetic and understanding of our disappointment which I was grateful for, but it’s not them I was mad at, it was the establishment who changed these rules recently. In terms of food I did order desert because it was my birthday and they didn’t allow me my cake- I loved the Tiramisu, but pasta was too al dente I could not finish it. Overall I had a great time because my friends made it special but never going back to Terroni’s

The fresh pasta is worth the visit! Service is OK and the lunch time crowd was very loud. This is a good choice for an interesting, high quality and not-too-pricey lunch or dinner.

We had the most amazing server, thank you. She knew the place would be packed and ensured that we would be fed and out in our short time line.

Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday with her and her kids. Terroni is a favourite, and as usual they did not let us down. We shared multiple appetizers, with the meatballs, burrata and calamari being popular and tasty choices. We all had pasta for main course. For one if our party the pasta was a little undercooked, but the server swiftly addressed the issue and arranged a replacement dish. All of us enjoyed our mains, and despite all of the food, still squeezed in room for dessert. The Cornetto Con Gelato was as amazing as ever, and a couple of us had the pistachio white chocolate cake and the cannolis as well. All very satisfying. Excellent service throughout the evening. Thanks for a great evening!
