Thaiverse's sister restaurant has won numerous awards, being regularly voted by open table users as the best Asian restaurant in the DC region, and Thaiverse DC shares the same recipes and culinary management (Chef Piya and Chef Raam (Thai Masterchef finalist)). Located in an historic and legendary spot where once stood the Childe-Harold, Thaiverse DC blends the history with modern touches to produce an elegant dining environment. Delightful place. Delicious kimchi dumplings, tasty ginger shrimp and pad Thai. Excellent service. A neighborhood gem.

Excellent everything. However, in the christmas only one waitress took to long to attend all tables. But she was outstanding.

Great food and service! It was busier by the time we left but still not too noisy. Very enjoyable!

I had high expectation of this place given that this is smack center in the Dupomt circle area. The interior was charming but that’s about it. We were a party of 6 on a Friday Night. There was only one server for the whole Place. There must have been atleast 40 patrons including us and she was doing the best she can. I am not sure who ones the place but they definitely need tk wake up and smell the roses. We waited about 40 min for our food. The starters were average we orders the trainers platter. I orders the kimchi beef which was on the chefs special and it was utterly tasteless. We Also ordered the crispy duck which was good. The chicken satay was sub par. The place needs new Management and definiltely more servers and a better cook. Overall very forgettable and experience.

The food at Thaiverse is original and "Thai hot", exactly what we were looking for. The menu has a great selection of Thai dishes, the taste of everything we had was excellent. We had a great time - and came back the next day. I also was very pleased to see that the few wines offered were very good choices at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a very charming ambiance and the services was nice and welcoming.

One of my best go to place for lunch: As a very knowledgeable Thai food consumer (I have lived there) I love this place - everything is good. The soups are my least favorite on the menu but all the rest is great.

Last night the service at Thai Verse was abysmal. It was not particularly busy; were two servers for 5 tables. After a moderately long delay before ordering, we asked for a drinks menu that never came. Halfway through the meal (the food was excellent, by the way) we tried again to order drinks, asking whether we could have them before the end of the meal. The check arrived (and the drinks never did, with nary an apology). The server who cleared the plates from the next table knocked a drink can to the floor, said something like "oops", and left the two diners next to us to pick it up themselves. The three times I've eaten at Thai Verse, the food has been simply extraordinary -- fabulously fresh ingredients, with that sort of high-resolution spicing that's just magical in that you can taste each of the ingredients in just the right combination. Until last night, I've wondered why there isn't a line out the door. I hope that this feedback reaches the management, as it would be a shame for this restaurant to go under for lack of attention to service.
