   We visit Ft Lauderdale annually and always go th Thasos for dinner. The food is excellent and the ambience is perfect

   We always go back because we want it to be good but inevitably there’s always a problem with the food. The temperature of meat was wrong, and the food was cold. Flavor good. They tried. Reserved a hot skewer and cooked the steak longer. Had a nice time but probably won’t go back. It’s expensive for mid. food experience

   Ordered drinks and appetizers, but waiter says it’s better to order the dinner at the same time since they will be busy later, which we did. The cheese in the Saganaki was pretty good but it had a bit too much alcohol. Greek salad was amazing, one of the best we’ve had. Calamari which we have ordered before there and loved, were too oily that we couldn’t eat. We told the waiter, he didn’t apologize but took it off the bill later. For dinner we had the Chilean Seabass & king prawn with pistachio pesto pasta. A lady brought the fish thinking that’s the only thing we ordered, bit our waiter quickly took it and told her that there is another dinner. 7-10 minutes later both dinners came out. I feared the fish would be cold by that time. Bit it wasn’t, but The spinach it was placed on was. However, the fish was excellent. As for the king prawn pasta, the one prawn that comes with that dish, was charred on the outside but nearly raw inside. Gave it back to the waiter and asked for it to be cooked more he brought it back few minutes later, was cooked slightly more but not fully. Didn’t want to send it back again so we ate around it. No apology what so ever from waiter or manager. Our 1st experience there was great, so we have been thinking about going back for a long time, but now we won’t.

   The food and ambiance are as delicious and beautiful as we remember it to be. Highly recommend the lamb chops and branzino.

   Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Bday dinner for the Wifey. Had a 7:45pm reservation, only two tables were taken and over the course of the night up to closing, only one other couple came in. Music very low and set up was great. Food was great, just the entree pairing was off for us. The steak dishes are offer with French fries...which you cannot substitute and even if you could, the sides are limited. Also, some of the sides offered with the entrees are not available as an option in the sides menu. Wanted steak however Had to swith and get something that does not have French fries as the side dish. The veal and lamb chops were excellent

   The live music totally overwhelms the dining experience. I couldn’t enjoy the company of my friends or the food, for that matter, because the music was so obnoxiously loud. It’s so annoying it distracts from the taste of the food as well as the ambience. This is a shame because service and food was good

   The band was so loud we could not even talk to each other. We were not told there would be a band when being seated or a choice of table. After the band started playing consistently loud the waiter talked to the band which resulted in a one song reduction in volume. The owner then had band play at full volume disregarding us. We were unable to even have a main course and had to move to another restaurant to complete our dinner and start our conversation for the first time that night.

   Great food. main greek cuisine staples, not overwhelming options. great servers very friendly and helpful. very ambient and clean cozy place. highly recommend the chef’s choice snapper.
