We visited at 1 pm and the restaurant was very quiet, probably because just after Christmas and New Year. The staff were very friendly. The food was very good.

Booked a high top table in October as we have a dog, only to to arrive and not have said table but have one in restaurant. Explained have dog do wouldn’t be suitable for other diners, given table in another area which was then shared at 7pm. Explanation it’s busy and system crashed. I am aware this has happened several times to others. Not good enough

Hi Lynn, Sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience, having gone over the notes, a high top table was booked but we also have and allocate high tables in the restaurant and unfortunately there were no notes on the booking to say you had a dog. The team on the busy shift did their best to reassign your booking to a table in the bar but as you must be able to appreciate, with over 150 guests booked wanting tables in the bar, it was definitely a juggle. I understand they then moved you to an alternative table that was high once this one was re-booked but as you had over twice the amount of guests in the end it was a bit tight! We aren't aware of this happening to anyone else so hopefully they reach out to us. Please email us if you wish to discuss further.

Incredibly disappointed. This is not a pub but more like a hotel lobby restaurant trying to be a pub. The battered fish had a horrible smell when we cut it open. We sent it back only to be told that the chef thought it was fine. It wasn’t a. The bread on the grilled cheese sandwich was soggy. In general, certainly not what we were expecting given the description in open table. We were just passing through, so had no idea. Felt very deceived.

Really enjoyed the dining experience although I wasn’t 100% happy with the table we were allocated. I felt stuck out in the middle of the walkway

Food and service are all good. Unfortunately, the coffee machine steamer was broken so no hot drinks with hot milk available that morning which is why I took off a star.

Very good service. Menu limited for vegetarians but food itself was quite nice. Tables and floor could do with a good clean as they were sticky .

The meal was lovely but the ambience let's it down. Sticky small table for 4 of us. We had the booth. Restaurant is echoy. Service was average, perhaps because it was father's day. had to grab their attention if needed something. Doesn't feel high end restaurant but enjoyed the food.

We are looking into options to try and compartmentalise the space in the restaurant to make it a little more cosy and intimate so please bear with us...we indeed did struggle a little on the day due to the volume of guests but we hope it didn't take away from your experience too much with us and look forward to welcoming you again in the future!
