All rather average. Although we were the only ones in the restaurant they still gave us a table next to the bar rather than by the window and obviously the ambience was lacking as we were alone. The food was okay but nothing special (quarter of an egg, cream cheese, tuna and coronation chicken sandwich) and the cakes were tiny. What really let it down was the service. The waitresses were pleasant enough but we had to ask for and wait for everything (tea spoons, sugar, cream or butter to go in the scones) etc. All in all although nothing was particularly poor, it was very average for the cost.

We went for a birthday celebration and were disappointed, having looked forward to trying the restaurant. The food was delicious but there was so little of it that it was unsatisfying and expensive for what you got. The restaurant was so quiet that there was no atmosphere at all, which was also a real shame.

I went for lunch with a friend. The menu was varied and innovative. There were classic dishes and interesting variations such as Halloumi curry, which had wonderful flavours that popped in ones mouth. As a starter I had a very interesting anchovy dish which was a true delight of smoky and sea, reminiscent of holidays in Portugal. For dessert I went old school and enjoyed a treacle tart..mmm. We shall certainly return 🥰

Because it is not a huge restaurant, I always feel that when I eat here it is more intimate and personal. You are able to have a conversation without it being too noisy and I’ve always found the food to be a good quality. Sometimes the service is slow but generally we always leave the feeling satisfied.

We went for afternoon tea and stayed the whole evening for dinner. The food was excellent and the overall experience so lovely. Service is great and the team work very hard, would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Not really a restaurant, tables set out in the bar area. Would be nice if it were seperate. We went for 3 & 2 course lunch at Xmas. 1 person had soup, we had to ask for a bread roll & that guest got 2 rolls served in a bowl with a side of butter. There are no tables cloths which is a shame. Even at a local golf course we had table clothes. The tea thing doesnt work. The teapot has a drainer inside the pot, the only time the water touches the tea leaves is when its first poured in. You get a hot milky water. Just put a teabag in the pot. Food was good.
