   Wholly recommend this pub / restaurant. Friendly staff, fab menu and food. Great atmosphere. Will be back .

   My wife is Coeliac & we contacted the Badachro not once but twice to ensure there was Gluten Free options available. Walked in for our 6pm booking to the owner scribbling away (his words) on a scrap bit of paper said options. Turned out to be 1 starter & 1 main, with a potential 2nd if she chose a burger without the roll 🤷‍♀️ Starter : Chilli & Garlic King Prawns .. which turned out to be 6 king prawns with a load of sauce .. no garnish, no GF roll or bread to replace the Bruscetta that I had with my starter. Main: Lamb Rump, potatoes, roasted veg & jous - no alteration required at all for my wife to the meal. A couple arrived 20 mins after us, got their starters at the same time as us & got their main meals and had finished them before we got ours ! The waitress seeing my annoyance at the time we were waiting (45 mins after the starter) came over & asked what my problem was ??? She then came back with our food & proceeded to tell us that it was because the Chef had had to take extra care with my wife’s meal “wiping stuff down” 🤦‍♀️🙄🤐 The food itself was relatively ok taste wise, nothing special to be honest, which really disappointed us, as this place had been highly recommended. Value wise, I will never again accept paying £11.95 for 6 king prawns in a lump of sauce. I was past the arguing stage & just wanted to leave. In short, for what we got, it is extremely over priced and not of any great quality. As my wife said “ we’d have been fuller going to a chippy !” Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. The best thing of the near 2 hours was the 2 dogs belonging to the owner roaming the area. However, having them jump up on the seat beside you, is not what you would expect in any restaurant 🤐 Earlier that day, we had met a local & during the course of that conversation had mentioned we were going to the Badachro. The response we got should have set the alarm bells ringing .. we should have listened .. simple 😔

   The experience / evening / food ..... PERFECT ! Felt I was back in the Yorkshire Dale.... Great pub and great service..... Full marks to the young lady taking orders and serving...... look after her, rare to find such efficient and pleasant staff ( and especially from Yorkshire )....as we're the rest too..... a really good evening.    Lovely old pub with Fantastic views from the dining room, which was lovely and toasty with a welcoming log burner. Food was delicious and the service was excellent Not visited the area for a number of years and hope to visit again soon, thank you.

   Lovely pub atmosphere, there was a conservatory area if you wanted something more formal/ quieter. Food was delicious, great portion sizes, very fresh and options to suit everyone. One of the group is needs gluten free and they were super knowledgable and on the ball with this which is always reassuring. Staff were lovely and attentive, good choice of pints on draught, can’t ask for much more!

   We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The food was really nice, The steak was cooked to perfection and the staff we very friendly and helpful.
