The Ballard Cut is a farm-to-table restaurant and whisk(e)y bar specializing in local and seasonal ingredients. Our 1200+ bottle whiskey list ranges from Japanese and Scotch single malts to American bourbons and ryes. The collection is curated to include contemporary and affordable bottles as well as rare and antique vintages. Enjoy a scratch cocktail on our patio as you take in the energetic Ballard nightlife; share a bottle of wine and a tomahawk steak with friends and family; or take a trip around the world with a custom whisk(e)y flight built by our passionate and experienced staff.

Helmed by owner Tommy Patrick and chef Rachael Peebles, The Ballard Cut is the culmination of decades of hard work and dedication in the restaurant industry. We sincerely hope you enjoy your dining experience.

    This was our first time at Ballard Cut and we really loved it. The food was really quite good, the service was excellent and the ambience was nice on a Wednesday evening. Our only complaint is that we wish they would indicate which menue items are gluten free. Otherwise not complaints, hight recommended.

    We had an awesome night at The Ballard Cut. The cauliflower and pork belly apps were super delicious; our mains (the halibut and porchetta) were unique and well seasoned; we had curated whiskey flight that was delicious and educational and don’t sleep on the sticky toffee pudding! Definitely will be back!

    Overall good. We’re out of 2 beers I wanted and halibut was a bit dry.

    Amazing whiskey selection and recommendations. Always my go to place for a flight and some tasty food. Happy hour I would always suggest the pork belly and the katsu sliders.

    Always love going to Ballard Cut. Food is phenomenal & the service is amazing. We opted for a custom whiskey flight & Tommy was the best! His knowledge on whiskey is unmatched. Highly recommend.

    First Visit, Fantastic Food, Friendly Service, and Amazing Ambience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Ballard Cut celebrating my son’s 40th birthday! 🎉 The service was outstanding—everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They answered all our questions (including plenty from my very curious sister, who was having her first fine dining experience) with patience and enthusiasm. The food was delicious, and the ambience made the celebration feel extra special. To top it off, it’s just a few blocks from where I live, so I’m already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, fantastic service, and the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!! 🍷✨

    Wonderful Christmas Eve dinner for our family! From delicious cocktails to scrumptious NY aged steaks and rabbit tagliatelle, grilled octopus to panna cotta for desert, the entire meal was perfect and the service was top-notch. Love the new location and we will be back very soon!

    Service was terrible. Multiple tables that were seated 10+ min after us, got their drinks + apps + entrees before our entrees came out. The food that came out was subpar.
