Situated on the beautiful 202-acre farmland of Belmont Demesne, from which many of the ingredients are sourced, the Barn at Belmont is run by chef patrons Oran Colhoun & Darryl Haynes. They aim to offer the best of local cuisine from Wednesday through Sunday with limited week day offering of freshly baked pastries, gourmet sandwiches and soups , Supper Club, Sunday Roast, and event catering. The Barn is more than just a restaurant, it's an experience!

Our mission is to provide our guests with delicious, locally-sourced cuisine while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We offer a unique blend of a restaurant, café and events venue, perfect for any occasion. Our team of professional chefs and waitstaff will make sure that your experience at The Barn is one to remember.

Booked a table for two for lunch to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Received multiple confirmations from OpenTable right up to morning of booking. Despite all this we arrived to an empty dining room to be told by the lone coffee shop chap that the restaurant was closed on Wednesdays. This despite the Barn website stating it was. There was no manager on site so I asked for someone from the Barn to contact me by phone. I am still waiting. I will not be recommending the Barn to anyone based upon this level of service and regard for a customer.

We had a lovely family Sunday lunch there. Lots of room for the two prams and lovely location. The garden is big so we could take it in turns keeping a toddler occupied. Food was very pleasant, great to have a good old fashioned Sunday roast as well. Staff very nice and attentive. Overall I would recommend it and we will certainly go again.

A lovely dining experience in a very enjoyable environment. Hugh was incredibly attentive and helpful.

The Sunday set menu seen online was not offered or mentioned? The food was very tasty and everybody enjoyed it. House wine was not great though. Cheese board had just 1 cheese on offer. There may have been an issue with supply, or staff but it wasn't as expansive experience as I'd thought. The setting and service is excellent. We did enjoy ourselves and staff present did their best to accommodate. They may just need to match menu offered to menu advertised

First of all, lovely locatiin with good potential. Was very quiet at 2.30pm on a Sunday which was telling. Went for Sunday lunch. Very poor menu, one Sunday roast option Pork. Veg roasted to a crisp and not hot like it was reheated several times. Potato was 1 slice of a gratin, stuffing bulked everything up, everything was covered in gravy. Hot roast beef sandwich was shredded beef marinated in something and Sambo was ruined by everything smothered in pesto! No warning on menu board. Veg soup tasted heavily of just parsnip. Finally French toast was just ok.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. We went for the Fathers Day Sunday lunch. The food was average. One portion of the roast beef in particular was very rare. Atmosphere was nice but needed some music or something as it is a large space. Definately has a lot of potential. Staff were lovely and also patient, as two of our party got lost on the way to the restaurant and were quite late. We did try to order a second Guinness and was told the had none left, only to see another table served about 30minutes later. I had also left a booking note as well as emailed in advance as we were celebrating a 70th birthday to arrange a candle in dessert which was unfortunately forgotten on the day. Finally the Sunday lunch menu was more expensive than it has been advertised and we were also charged for an additional meal (which was rectified after the fact).

Was very quiet for a May bank holiday Sunday, restaurant still pretty unknown but with planned marketing I think this place will be a hidden gem. Food was excellent, full of flavour, wouldn’t be surprised if almost everything was locally sourced from their farm & surrounding area. Service was fantastic, Hugh & his team are excellent! Made my wifes birthday very special. We also enjoyed a great hike up Little Sugar Loaf beforehand…worked up a great appetite, we’ll be back.

Such a gorgeous setting for lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there on Sunday. We will be returning very soon.

Had one of the best Sunday roasts here and I’ve been doing the rounds on Sundays. Food was delicious .. quality of the produce shone through. It’s evident these guys know what they’re at. Will be back. Thank you

Service was not great as very understaffed. Food was overcooked and overpriced. Limited options. Would not go back I'm afraid.
