We have visited The Priory a couple of times now for dinner - it is a gorgeous restaurant with terrific food, a relaxed and calm setting, and attentive staff. It's a precious jewel that we consider a rare treat night out.

I attended for lunch with a disabled friend for her birthday. My disabled friend arrived before me. I was disappointed that the staff had not offered to take her coat or show her to the nice lounge area but to a smaller sitting room which was a bit like a smart waiting room. Perhaps the nice lounge area was only for residents. There did not appear to be any disabled toilets , at least my friend was not shown to any and had to negotiate the ladies loo with her roller walking frame. Despite me saying it was a special occasion and the restaurant saying they would organise a plate with happy birthday on it , they had forgotten to do so . It arrived with the bill after having reminded the waiter. The restaurant itself was a bit dated with very bright over head halogen / led lighting with little atmosphere. Food choice for Sunday lunch was limited - although that in it self was not an issue the standard of food was good but not what I would have expected of a chateau relais hotel but it was value for money .

Booked the Bath Priory for Afternoon Tea as my sister is retiring and it was to celebrate that occasion. As per previous visits the food was lovely - good range of sandwiches and savoury snacks, the scones were amazing, and a lovely collection of sweet items. We were allocated a table in the drawing room and it was perfect - felt very seasonal and it was quiet and relaxing. Service as absolutely excellent and really made the occasion special. We’ve been a few times before and this visit was even better due to the peacefulness of the setting and the attentive service.

The food presentation was fabulous and the flavours were fantastic. Service was really attentive and the hotel looked lovely all dressed for Christmas. The team did really well to look after our various dietary needs too: well done and thank you for a great evening!

Lovely rooms bedecked in Christmas cheer but we were put in a soulless breakfast room. Drink as much tea or hot chocolate then they charged us £4.50 for a 2nd cup. My daughter didn’t want to eat the scones as she doesn’t like raisins so we asked if we could have a couple more sandwiches… Of course we could provided we were willing to pay an extra £10 on a £50 charge for an afternoon tea ….overall dreadful experience and unpleasant staff

It’s a really nice place, the service was a little slow. The afternoon tea was nice but expensive for what it was.

A totally genteel experience. Great service. I had the vegan afternoon tea which was excellent. My family had the non vegan tea which was equally good.

We had the 3 course A La Carte menu which unknown to us included extra snacks and in between course delicious bites. Every mouthful was amazing and we had a fantastic experience. Our waiter was a lovely young man and very efficient introducing every dish
