Although the restaurant was almost empty, when we arrived, the host staff seemed to be completely overwhelmed. Couldn’t get our coats checked. Was asked twice if we were staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located. We weren’t but couldn’t understand why that seemed to be some important. Many of the food runners seem to be African immigrants who had limited English and more or less tossed the food on the table and ran away.

We opted for the full tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was enjoyable, the wines were paired well. The execution of the serving of the wine with the food was executed extremely poorly. At one point during our dinner, we had three courses backed up on our table, without having had the wine served. When I pointed this out to the floor manager, they apologized and slowed down the pace of the dinner. Overall, the dinner was nice, but with so many options in New York City, I would look elsewhere.

This is an excellent place to have a very nice and exclusive dinner. The food was amazing, and our server, Hector, was great. I totally will come back when I am in town.

Based on reviews I was concerned as Bazar Mar was one of my favorite restaurants in MIA. Decided to give it a go and we had a wonderful dinner. Ordered from the regular menu and was amazed at the flavor journey with each bite. The menu is smaller than the former MIA location but just as amazing. The cocktails did not disappoint!
