   Still the same beautiful venue it’s always been. Apparently it’s under a new ownership and they have a much smaller menu. Food was good.

   This place used to be one of the nicest places to eat in the keys. We made a reservation for 7:30. We were seated at a nice table and honestly you can not beat the view. Now here comes the “ but” part, our server was very nice and friendly but it took almost 30 minutes before she even came to the table for our drink order, she took our order and came back with our two drinks and appetizers quite quickly. We finished both of our drinks and our entire appetizer and waited at least 45 minutes before she even came back to the table to take our actual food order, which again took a large amount of time. When we finally got the food it was cold to slightly warm and really was not great. We then finished our entire meal and waited another 45 minutes for our waitress to come check on us. I actually had to track her down to get the check and then it took 15 minutes to even get it processed. I am a Florida Native and I have been going to the keys for years. I have eaten at The Beach Cafe for years. This is the first bad review that I have ever left and honestly I will not be going back to the beach cafe anytime soon. I hated to write this review but it needed to be said.

   Great place to watch the sunset. The watermelon salad was great. I am a nonseafood eater with an allergy so perfect if you are like me.

   Second time dining here. Peaceful waterfront bayside sunsets. Pleasant staff all around. Will be back. Food is priced well and servings size are plentiful. Typical island fare with a nice vegetarian option or two.
