   All was exceptional except the service. Tables of 2 and 6 were seated after our table of 2. These tables were both served prior to ours. We waited nearly 25 minutes for our food to be served. The temperature of our food left us to believe it may have sat for awhile rather than being served to us quickly. Our server returned 10 minutes after our food was served and only asked one of us if we needed anything as she quickly moved on. Once we received our tab, we waited another 10 minutes for her to retrieve our payment. We did however leave a 20% tip.

   We were seated near the reservation time at 7:30pm. The brown room was wonderfully decorated and comfortable. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone came over to ask if we wanted water. About 10 more minutes before the waiter came over to take the cocktail order. Another 10 minutes before the cocktails arrived and we placed the food order. The waiter was very nice and the food was good but the time in between table visits and courses was entirely too long. The food arrived about 8:20pm. We finished the appetizers and entrees about 9:00pm. Another 10 minute before the waiter asked if we wanted dessert. The after dinner cordials and desert arrived in a few minutes. We had barely started enjoying our dessert and cordials at about 9:15pm when the host came to our table and said rudely that we needed to finish because another couple was waiting for the table. There were several open tables in the brown room and the other guests could have easily been seated next to or at another table adjacent to us. This entirety ruined the evening. There should have been better planning between reservations or faster service once seated and between courses. We will not dine here again because of the way we we were spoken too during our last course. For a $460+ price for dinner plus the $50 up charge for the brown room we would expect faster service and to be treated like Martha’ personal guests.

   We had a very nice dinner. Every course was outstanding. Large portions, well prepared and delicious. Service was good. A bit pricy but has been a tradition. We will be back again next year.

   Our server was nice but the back waiter was slow with everything g and the bar was literally out of every white wine except some super bad Sav Blanc that tasted like perfume. We didn’t get a glass of wine until the meal was almost done and he was so embarrassed he left in the middle of his shift!! He told us he was going home and some random busser took over the table. For these prices? Come on. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

   Halibut was one of the worst fish dishes ive ever had. The fish over cooks in the very hot “Cheap marinara”.

   We love this restaurant. It’s nice and quiet, beautiful, and the service and food are excellent. The bread basket is great, the roast chicken is delicious, and the lemon risotto with sea scallops is amazing. Definitely worth the money.

    Fabulous valentines dinner! The chicken was amazing. Zucchini blossoms succulent and the dessert was something out of this world .. lemon meringue heaven! So beautiful from start to finish! excellent wine from Martha’s Vineyard and lovely French champagne !
