The Birdcage is a fantastic, town-centre pub in the beautiful harbourside town of Brixham, Devon.
Situated on the corner of New Road, the Birdcage is opposite Brixham Theatre and sits right at the heart of the local community.
Formerly known as the Bolton Hotel, the pub occupies a Grade II listed building and has been on the site since the 19th Century.
We're proud to offer a menu packed with pub favourites. Our passion for giving you the best experience in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment with have you returning time and time again.

Lovely friendly pub, good food and very good value, staff were really nice and welcoming and great at catering for our daughter's gluten allergy. Really recommended.

Steak and ale pie not cooked on top peas were hard not enough mash. Service really good and very friendly

In all fairness this place got busy and we expected a little wait and to be honest it was worth the wait. Food and service was spot on. Gent behind the bar was a gentleman

Had to return 1 meal awful, didn't even look edible. Chips on all meals hard and over cooked, items paid for but not served had to ask for them. Not much of an apology just blamed there supplier!! No decent chef would have sent out food this bad!! Won't be going there again.

We have been there before and the food was fantastic and the price was very reasonable will definitely be going there again. Highly recommend it.

Really good pub, went to watch the football and have some food, atmosphere was good, food was lovely and everything was good value. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
