A beautiful setting and the most delicious bison ragu pasta we had!! Lovely staff. Good location. They made our birthday celebration special. Would recommend

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. We were seated at the bar and at first I was a little disappointed. My disappointment faded as soon as the bartender started talking to us. The bar manager was fun, informative and engaging. The cocktails were outstanding, the attention to detail was amazing! Although things there aren't cheap you get what you pay for. The appetizers were generous and delicious! The main we ordered was the braised bison short rib and it may be the best piece of meat I've ever eaten! You need to eat there!

This is our 5th dining experience in Banff and by far the best. Our server and Sommelier, Kevin was first class. He recommended a perfect cabinet Sauvignon to go with the tomahawk steak that was cooked to a perfect medium. The sides complemented the bison tomahawk steak perfectly. We finished with the salted caramel gelato. Excellent service, exceptional food and a relaxing ambiance. My husband and I ate every last morsel.

Fantastic food! Amazing gluten free accommodations. Safe fryer so anything fried can be gluten free. Drinks were tasty and unique. Wild flower sour has a surprise in the foam! Lots of variety on the menu. Server and assistant were attentive and personable. Gave great recommendations/suggestions that matched my taste perfectly after a few simple questions. Interesting flavor combinations that worked so we together. My husband has the bison bolognese that he believes is the best bolognese he has ever had. EVER. HIGHLY recommend.

Guillermo was a wonderful server. Very helpful. Lovely table by the window. Thank you. The hamachi crudo and the scallops were the highlight of the evening!

Always love the food when we come here. We had the bison tomahawk, which we had before. Not sure if it was sous vide this time as it wasn’t as tender but still a great meal! Service was great as always.

My fiancée and I dined in there on February 1, 2025 and I got to say, this is one of the best restaurant experience I had in my life. Our server Steve was very friendly and checked on us to ensure how our drinks were, as well as entrees. My fiancée ordered the arctic char which she stated it was delicious. I ordered the wood fired duck which is one of the best entrees I’ve eaten in my life. Both dishes were cooked well and I would say it’s worth the price you pay for. Regarding to our server Steve, I appreciated the fact he would have a conversation with my fiancée and I, and was never a quick small talk conversation and onto the next table kind of server. The aesthetic of The Bison is one of my favourite appearances in any restaurant I’ve been to. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the staff that work there. The intention of our dine in was to celebrate my fiancée’s birthday, and overall her and I loved the place. I would highly recommend this place and place a reservation prior to your visit. I would consider coming back here in the near future.
