Welcome to the Black Bull.
Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide.
Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.
Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.

First time here, we expected it to be quiet on a Wednesday lunch time in January however, it was felt lovely not too busy but more than enough people to create a nice atmosphere. Nice lighting for dining and lovely and warm (real fires) on a damp January day. 4 of us enjoyed a sharing platter, the highlight being the haddock gougons. The mains overall were good, the steak and ale pie could have been a 'proper pie' rather than a topped one and my husband stated that he would have liked some gravy with it. (Also, in this day and age, why do chefs now always put salt on chips rather than allow customers to choose whether they want salt or not. If I had been served the chips (I had mash) I would have sent them back as they were covered in salt) Overall we enjoyed and would go back - to order the fish and chips main!

Great food in a cozy atmosphere. The only downside is that there isn't very much parking area available and so it's possible that you may need to park further along the road.

Ordered the shared Sunday Dinner and wasn't disappointed. Meat (beef and lamb) was perfectly cooked, although a little more on the sharing plate would have been preferred. Service, as always, was first class and added to a most pleasant afternoon Dinner
