A classic British pub in the heart of the countryside, close to Castle Coch. We offer a selection of ales, ciders and lagers for the thirsty mountain biker. We pride ourselves on home cooked meals with fresh, local produce - our chips have been rated the best in South Wales! With a range of menu items to please every appetite, including our chefs specials that change daily, The Black Cock Inn offers a warm and friendly welcome to those travelling by foot, car or bike!
We have a dog friendly bar area, as well as an outdoor play park and plenty of seating in our beer garden, perfect for the "sunny" Welsh weather.

This was my second visit, after being so impressed the first time. The food was hot and tasty. The venue was VERY busy, just like the first visit. The staff were constantly buzzing around and are an absolute credit to the establishment. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I have already made recommendations to staff at work. We will be back, again and again.

Waited 45 mins to be sat at our pre booked table , then had to be moved for a larger party absolutaly shocking

The food was probably the best pub meal I’ve ever had. Burger and chips sounds easy but so many places don’t get it right. Can’t recommend this place enough. Kids and husbands meals were also delicious.

First time booking here as stated nearby for a wedding. A little daunting driving down the road in the dark but arriving at the place made up for it. First impression was very cosy. The staff were helpful and friendly and extremely helpful. The food was outstanding- our compliments to the chef. A few in our group only wanted a small meal and the staff were happy for them ordering a starter as mains. I can only recommend 🤩
