From the OpenTable editors: Top Chef star Jamie Tran leans on her Vietnamese roots at this upscale restaurant that Eater Vegas named restaurant of the year when it opened in 2017. That means you'll find dishes like imperial rolls stuffed with duroc pork and shrimp and sautéed glass noodles in a spicy gochujang sauce all served in a spacious, industrial-chic dining room adorned with exposed lights and plenty of mirrors on the walls. The flight of Japanese whiskies makes any meal here extra special.

                                        Another hidden gem in the suburbs of Las Vegas. This former Top Chef participant has amazing culinary skills, humility, and sense of humor. Talking to her and to her staff was very entertaining and we enjoyed it very well. Instead of paying three times the amount of money to go to an industrialized restaurant on the Strip, visit her restaurant. We’ll be back.

                                        The Black Sheep is a fantastic choice! We went for New Years Eve and had the tasting menu, and everything was so flavorful, and well done. Had the crudo and the Japanese pancake to start -- both awesome -- and the curry stew with udon noodles as the main, and it was packed with flavor and the meat was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. Chef Jamie Tran was there wearing many hats and was available to 'chat' with us at the bar, which was a great treat -- she is very talented and a lot quirky, which was fun (had a delicious cocktail named after a Michael Scott line from The Office)!! Small-ish, intimate restaurant with a fun yet sophisticated vibe, and very friendly staff - we were well taken care of. Enjoyed every part of it! Thank you Jamie and your team!

                                        Our table of 6 had an amazing experience. Our server was on point and every dish was prepared and seasoned perfectly. Our family couldn’t decide whose dish was best because they were all so delicious! Thanks for the wonderful evening.

                                        A neighborhood standout consistently offering culinary creativity and quality matching if not exceeding those of more widely publicized international chefs on The Strip; vibe, from reception to service, is more welcoming; pricing, from innovative cocktails to dishes and wines, is considerably more reasonable; the simpler menus, changing according to season and market produce, make selecting any variety of dishes much simpler.

                                        Excellent food especially crispy duck rice. Disappointed Chef Tang didn’t explain any of the dishes. We were the only patrons for the first part of my meal.
