   The pork jowl was AMAZING. My only regret was not having enough room to eat it all following the lamb dumplings.

   An overall pleasurable experience. The pear salad and scallion rice cake was excellent. The entree portions are also generous. For some reasons the kimchi fried rice that came with an entree was mildly cold, but I didn’t really care because it was still delicious. I personally feel the food did not feel like Vietnamese fusion, but it didn’t mean it wasn’t delicious. Try to sit on the side tables since the glare from cars shining into the restaurant can become a nuisance in the evening.

   The food was uniquely delicious. Not sure of anywhere else we could’ve gone to have such wonderfully highlighted Vietnamese flavors.

   Intriguing, interesting, different and a unique and imaginary plate presentation. We saw a U-Tube report on the Owner-Chef and the restaurant itself. We had to try it. We sampled 3 appetizers: Imperial Rolls, Steak Tartare and the Hamachi. All freshly made and tasty. Definitely Asian Fusion with contemporary American. The unique plates are difficult to describe for this traditional diner! Our two Entrees; a Duck Confit Special and the Slow Braised Short Ribs. Both excellent. For a wonderful meal and a very different food style the Black Sheep is perfect.

   Good fusion food concept and fun to try but food flavor was average. Cocktails were delicious. Can recommend imperial rolls, braised short rib, and oxtail empanadas but salmon skin tacos fell short of expectations. Steak ok, vegan glass noodles ok. Duck rice salad plain in flavor but filling and healthy tasting. Service average, did not match ambience.

    Went and tried out their Valentines Prefixed menu. Ideas of food plates were great but flavors were too strong in the dumplings, almost felt spicy but was assured no spice. Our prime New York was way under cooked. I get its better still pink or red but this was hard to chew. Couscous saved the dish for me at least because I was hungry after the summer salad that was very refreshing but very light, I was looking forward to a hearty steak. Desert by far was the only thing on the menu that I can say was really good. Maybe my selections weren't great, maybe should of listened to our beautiful waitress who recommended all different dishes than what we picked, but I hate going out and spending so much on still come home hungry.
