The Blackbird Restaurant is a Chef Owned Restaurant serving local, fresh ingredients. The Blackbird’s goal is to delight guests with cooking grounded in the traditions and ingredients of the Carolinas creating an unique and vibrant menu – New American with Southern Flares.

The menu features the seasonal best from local farmers, fresh catches from the coast of the Carolinas, incredible local micro-brews, specialty cocktails, and great wines from the around the world. Our menu changes seasonally to reflect the bounty of the area and the chef’s creativity. The Blackbird’s award-winning food, desserts and prompt service will impress you every time.

We are located in the heart of downtown Asheville, on Biltmore Ave. You can find us at the corner of The Aloft Hotel.

Parking Garage is located at the back on Lexington Ave. The first hour is free.

    Brunch was great! Our server Jacob was so great! He really thanked us “locals” for coming in! We will definitely be back.

    We had Cesar salad, parm French bread, filet/crayfish stuffed flounder, lemon sorbet. Each dish outdid the next. Our birthday dinner was RESY cancelled at another restaurant and The Blackbird was happy to accommodate us. Just fantastic evening and dinner. Thank you to all the staff!

    They must’ve been short staffed. It took 45 minutes for us to get our second round of drinks and water. The espresso martini didn’t taste anything like espresso. For the first time in my life I sent something back. Never got our appetizer. Our meals came out and they modified some things without telling us they were out of biscuits. My omelette was not good and neither were the breakfast potatoes. Food was greasy. Everything took a very, very long time. Our server didn’t check on us very much, but in her defense it seemed like she was bartending and taking tables. We felt badly for her..Didn’t see any manager there running the floor. It was a disappointment because Blackbird was rated #2 for brunch behind Tupelo Honey. Do yourself a favor and get brunch at Chestnut across the street. That was the best brunch experience of my life! We love Asheville and were happy to be back in town but this brunch was a thumbs down.

    Hello Kate Mie Chef/Owner Iwould like to Apologize for your experience, unfortunately it was one of those days that everything went wrong from lack of communication with me to letting customers down. I even had to come in with my Daughter to help out and we got it under control not that it is your issue or even something you need to know but I felt like I should explain. also i would love to offer you a gift card if you would give us another chance mike(At)imperialbids. com

    Loved the beet and zucchini salad! My husband had the cold smoked pork dish and I had trout with scallops. Excellent meal and service!
