We had the jumbo shrimp , coconut and shrimp fajitas. Very good. But very pricey on the beach!

Situated on the beach at the south end of the Malecon, BlueShrimp never disappoints providing an excellent atmosphere, huge menu with many choices, phenominal service and of course amazing food quality.

Our waiter Pollo, was outstanding. He was very friendly and happy to explain menu items. The food and drinks were brought promptly, everything was delicious.
The famous coconut shrimp did not disappoint! Baja Fish Tacos were tasty and more than I could eat.
The green spinach sauce is still delicious, although it did not come served in a coconut shell as before. Still amazing and mildly sweet as always.
The Sea Bass was top notch.
We really enjoyed ourselves and we will keep coming back every time we are here!
This place is a bit pricey, but reasonable for the quality of the fresh seafood that they offer.
It’s a nice upbeat ambience, and our beachside table was ready for us when we arrived for our reservation.
The inner dining room is air conditioned if you prefer a cooler and quieter experience. Also a couple of tables are placed right in the sand.
Sometimes they have live music, call before to check. There was a mariachi band when we went.

I’ve heard a lot about Blue Shrimp but was not happy with the overall experience. The prices are very high for the quality of the food. The liquors prices are VERY high, considering every drink was $349 pesos and the cheapest bottle of wine was $1200 pesos. We had a popcorn shrimp for the table and my wife and shared a Caesar salad, the salad food was good but not for the price made it difficult to really feel like it was worth it. Caesar salad was around $340 pesos, in Canadian that $25.00 salad for about 7 leaves of romaine and a dressing made at the table.. again it was good but not great and we Didn’t feel worth the value.
The biggest thing for me was the service, it was good and we tipped accordingly at 20% of our total bill for a total of around $700 pesos, but the waiter referenced adding a cocktail to my bill for him after his shift, I ignored it and then he asked our friends when they paid, if they wanted to ROUND up the tip over and above their tip of 20%, our friends politely declined. We found the waiter very nice and pleasant but he may have thought his comments are funny but when you’re not happy about the food and experience, especially the overall value, to question are already 20% (we feel very generous tip for the experience) is annoying. We will not be going back. Lots of restaurants that have better food and better value. Sorry, we heard a lot about Blue Shrimp but Didn’t live up to the hype.

I have never written a review. This restaurant was excellent in every way. From guacamole and Cadillac margaritas made at tableside. We ordered and shared grilled whole snapper. The servers were friendly and spoke very good English. Highly recommend. Enjoy

The view is the best to watch the sunset over the bay. The margaritas are the best on the beach and the food is delicious. The guacamole that is made out your table is really good.

No gluten free options. Waiter said they could make anything gluten free which wasn’t true. Ordered chicken parmigiano with mashed potatoes as “gluten free”. No cheese on the chicken, chicken was dry and bland. Mashed potatoes were horrible!
View was nice! Restaurant ambiance was nice but wouldn’t go back.

Polo our server was excellent. Thoroughly explained menu items and let us substitute items to meet our tastes. Food, service, ambience all excellent.
Definitely order the Whole Red Snapper. Definitely enough food for 2 adults. Wonderful presentation and the food was amazing and delicious.
The drinks were all triple shots… was definitely feeling light after my 1st drink. Mango Margaritas….oh my!!!
Had the chocolate cake to go. Just had it for lunch and it is decadent and amazing.
Overall a must visit while in PV especially at sunset. Amazing views to go along with outstanding food, service and at reasonable prices.
