Excellent Indian cuisine with a broad range of dishes. Tonight, as usual, the tikka masala was outstanding. Also, the garlic naan is the absolute best.

Best Indian food in Charlotte and the only one that cooks protein properly. Highly recommend the lamb. The service is also great!

Everything we had was delicious! The chicken tikka masala was some of the best we had, and don’t remember exact name of dish but the scallop curry was perfection. Service and ambience was 10/10. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

This is the best Indian food I have had so far in Charlotte. The menu choices are pretty wide and include meats, seafood, and vegetarian options. They will ask you how spicy you'd like your meal prepared, on a scale of 1 to 5. I ordered saag paneer at a 5. It definitely had heat, but I would put it at a 3. The service is adequate, just not a lot of pizzazz. The ambiance is nice for a restaurant of this type - dark tones, warmly lit, and decent separation between tables. If you want delicious Indian food, priced sanely, in a comfortable milieu, then I recommend The Blue Taj.

The appetizer of the fried cheese was cold and the waiter said it was supposed to be. We had it warmed up and it was better. You should never order a martini here because they really don’t understand what you want. I ordered a well shaken, grey goose martini with three olives and I knew, when our waiter brought it, that they added olive juice so I sent it back to get a dry martini, well shaken and they brought it out with ice cubes in it. I removed the ice and drank it. The scallop korma had very few scollops and a lot of gravy but the gravy was good. I think their food is not what it used to be and I was disappointed . My friend felt the same. I will be trying other Indian Restaurants because I love Indian Food.
