   A very warm welcome by staff. Superb service throughout. Good menu choices. Food of excellent quality. Not rushed at all. Would definitely recommend and love to return if this way in the future.

   Went to The Boars for an early NY Eve drink with friends. Really friendly atmosphere and despite it being busy we were not rushed and enjoyed the lovely friendly atmosphere the pub has. Hats off to the Boars Team for making the pub a friendly go to place for whatever the occasion.

   Super service and food (as ever) … quieter than usual as it was lunchtime on NY eve. Staff just brilliant, had even kept something we had lost on our last visit and hadn’t realised we had lost! Great staff, reflecting the super friendly management and excellent value as well. Looking forward to more visits and meals in 2025. Thank you for 2024 (and before that)

   Ham,Cheese,Leek Pie & Sirloin Steak all cooked well and great taste - Turbot was excellent! Service attentive and engaging - great family evening meal - highly recommended and we will return soon!

   Food, as usual, was good, but unfortunately the boeuf bouginione wasn't available, with no other similar menu offering. Tarte tatin excellent.

   All 4 of us loved each of our 3 courses. The main course was just fantastic. I went thinking it was rather expensive, but recognised it was Christmas Day. Came away thinking it was good value for money. Very impressed.

   A lovely friendly pub. The food was excellent . A lovely varied menu . Suitable for every taste . The staff most welcoming . We have had many Christmas Lunch’s and this was the best. Shall be returning again

   Delicious food beautifully presented by friendly staff, including a change to a pre-ordered main with no problem at all. The roast potatoes were heavenly.

    Really very lovely, great selection of choices, and staff were just right, smiling, open, attentive, there when you needed them, unobtrusive otherwise. Food cooked fresh, so a steady waiting time, but not a problem. We were in the Agricultural Bar, and the only real downside was so was the coffee machine, which you'd expect in a coffee shop, but its noisy grind, amplified by the bare floors, was rather jarring. I appreciate it has to be *somewhere* but this did not detract from our general enjoyment. Have already recommended to others.
