Sunday lunch. Starter was poor, a few slices of mushroom on one piece of soggy bread. Mains took an hour and 15 to arrive, 2 were cold and had to be replaced. Service was dreadful, table service but no check backs for drinks or checking of food. Starter plates sat empty on our table for 25 minutes until we asked for them to be cleared. 2 tables of 4 crammed into a very small space when other tables for 4 were open and had 2 people on them. We did get food items taken off the bill and, what I can assume was the manager, was very apologetic. The table opposite us sat with empty glasses, no check backs or care either. When we asked for more gravy as there was none on the plate, the waitress threw it on the table with an “enjoy”. Staff need some training still. It’s a shame as this is our local pub and we come here at least once a week but won’t eat again based on this experience.

WGEN BOOKING I requested the ramp to be put outside as I am disabled and use a very small scooter. The ramp WAS NOT put outside. Luckily that day I was with friends who could go inside to ask. The object was so that I can be independent and use the restaurant with others who need the ramp. Why wasn’t a permanent slope/ramp put in when alterations were in the planning stages. No outdoor drinking area would have been lost. Very disappointed before we even got to the table.

An amazing Sunday lunch. Portions were huge! They brought out extra pork crackling for my son even though he had fish and chips! No ask was too big.

Beautiful Sunday roast. Plenty of food and piping hot. Service excellent. Upgraded premises ate much improved.

Faultless! Cosy table for two in the snug. Lovely helpful staff, especially Polly. We both had “small” roast beef which was tender, tasty & plentiful with lovely vegetables & enormous yorkshire pudding. We’ll be back. Thank you.

The staff were brilliant. Attentive and funny. Food is traditional pub grub cooked well. Would definitely return and definitely recommend to return

Quite a limited menu and a few things unavailable. Great pub though and we have previously always had a good meal. Love the new look.
