The Butcher’s Daughter West Hollywood is a plant-forward restaurant, bar, juicery, and “vegetable slaughterhouse,” located in the heart of one of LA’s most iconic and vibrant neighborhoods. We treat fruits and vegetables with the same care a butcher would meat—chopping, filleting, and carving fresh produce into healthy vegetarian dishes, while pressing them into vibrant, refreshing juices.

Led by our Culinary Director Richard Rea, our seasonal menu is 100% vegetarian, with many vegan and gluten-free options, all crafted from in-season ingredients that nourish and delight. My first time at the restaurant. It reminded me a bit of Nic’s on Beverly (RIP). The calamari starter was great. Also, we had the Hartz of Palm, DJ Dj, which was really, really amazing. The main courses were mixed bag: the item curry was wonderful. I had ton of flavor, but he carbonara was the complete opposite. No flavor and an odd, watery texture. We ordered a gluten-free pizza that was not terrific… The dough was more like pita bread and everything was very wet. Overall, I’d come back here for another try because the starters were so good. I have to assume there are quite a few delicious mains as well that I did not have.

Great food and service! I came for my birthday and our waiter was honestly lovely. I also had 3 dogs with me. This place has a special place in my heart after the great service we had.

Ordered the egg sandwich, got about half way through it and realized they forgot the avocado and sauce.. they then brought me the sauce and avocado on the side, which was annoying because then i had to take my sandwich apart and put it back together/the first half was not good because of the missing ingredients Everything else was actually great, just a bummer about my sandwich

The food was a disappointment. Surprisingly bland and dry overall. I think some reevaluation of the kitchen and how the dishes are coming out is more than called for.

Loved the Falafel, delish eggplant whip, and the rice paper bacon was yummy! Even the lemon chiffon herbal tea was divine. The service? Meh? server stood and talked to a couple at a table almost the entire time, never once asked how things were...pretty sad...when I asked for a box felt like I was putting him out... I'll probably go back cuz the food was delightful...service just needs to catch up!

The food was fabulous. The yellow curry was flavourful and filling. The pumpkin cheesecake was recommended by the sever and it was delicious. The patio was the perfect environment to relax and eat a good meal.
