The Butchers Tale presents a fresh approach to the culinary world of artisanal meats, bringing back favorites and introducing new tangy, melt-in-your-mouth options including Wagyu beef, double-cut smoked pork chops, our smoked beef long rib, grilled oysters and other extensive seafood offerings.

Delicious food, especially anything smoked (sausages, prime rib, pork chop, beef ribs). It is a louder dining room given the open and active kitchen. Those with hearing issues may wish to sit on the bar side of the restaurant.

Thank you Butcher’s Tale for making my birthday so special! First off, our server Meesh (sp) was an absolute gem. She was friendly, knowledgeable and her attitude was confident yet casual. As a queer couple, sometimes we get treated weirdly but Meesh was absolutely excellent and welcoming. The server assistants were also top notch and very attentive. The food was immaculate! The pork chop was roughly the size of a king mattress and I have no idea how the kitchen managed to cook such a mighty chop to absolute perfection. My steak was one of the best I’ve ever had and the key lime pie almost made me cry tears of joy, and yet I despair I will never again find its equal. We will we back! Also I don’t drink anymore but the whiskey list was very impressive! Thank you everyone!

The service, starters, dinner, bourbon flights, and wine were all good and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. However, the noise level was like a club and ridiculously loud — we’d have stayed for dessert t another drink but didn’t want to continue to yell across the table to one another.

We had scallops, cesar salad, oysters, wagyu beef & Aussie wagyu. Skip the Aussie wagyu— very fatty. Not like good wagyu. Scallops & salad were great. Oysters small.

I dined here with a friend while in town for a conference. We've been seeking out local steakhouses for many years when traveling for work together, and this is one of the better ones we've found. Our only complaint was that after arriving early for our reservation and settling in at the bar to wait, we seemed to have been forgotten. After enjoying a very good Manhattans and chatting with one of the bartenders about the extensive and impressive whisky menu, I finally flagged down the hostess and asked about the wait. She returned promptly after checking and seated us in the dining room. That didn't detract from a very good meal. My friend had a steak, cooked perfectly on the wood fired grill, and I enjoyed a delicious roasted salmon topped with an apple slaw that offset the rich fish nicely. We split an order of roasted brussels sprouts which were also quite good. Our server was very kind and friendly, answered lots of questions about the menu and provided recommendations that were spot on. It was a very pleasant evening and a lovely meal.

Very good service. Timeliness of meals was exceptional. The sides were perfectly portioned to share amongst our table of 4. We had the carrots, brussels sprouts, and sweet potato au gratin. Steaks cooked to perfection. The garlic knots were delicious. I would return for sure!

Great food, great staff and great atmosphere. It was a wonderful experience. That banana bread old fashion was absolutely delicious. So smooth and strong. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and full of flavor and juicy. My wife’s salmon was buttery and flavorful. We had the Brussel sprouts and truffle fries as a side. I would recommend those two. Next time I am there I will try the beef rib.
