The Canteen is a full-service neighbourhood restaurant in Downtown Dartmouth, serving up chef-inspired seasonal fare for lunch, brunch and dinner.     The Cauliflower soup was amazing . I didn’t think I’d like it but it was the best soup ever . Fresh bread , quality ingredients . This place was a pleasant surprise . Amazing food . I can’t wait to go back .

    Mark is always fabulous however he went over and above tonight once he found out I brought my friend from Ontario specifically in for the chowder. She thought the entire experience was amazing and the chowder was one of the best she has had. Thank you Mark and everyone at the Canteen for everything you do!

    Delicious meal yet again! Tried the falafel bowl and the flavours and textures were outstanding. Will definitely have it again. It was noisy with a full lunch crowd all happily chattering.

    Wonderful in every way. Those brussel sprouts were out of this world! Our server, Megan B, was exceptional. She was warm, knowledgeable and anticipated our every need. Thank you Megan and the Canteen!
