   Came here for my boyfriend’s 25th and we had a great time. Our waiter, Alexander, was the sweetest and most attentive waiter we’ve ever had.. anywhere. And the general manager even let us give him a gold star which made my heart very happy:) if there is any way this review could get him another gold star, please do (or even better, a raise lol). Great restaurant with great food and fancy ambiance. And Alexander made it all come together. Will be recommending!

   Loved our server Joi. She definitely made it known that she has deep experience in the realm of all Capital Grilles. And her knowledge was appreciated. What a fabulous human being. She tended to us at every level. Food: Well, I am just coming from a Michelin Star restaurant in London, England whose food was exceptionally well done. It was so good that I dream about it. Of course the prices at that restaurant matched the taste and flavors at $400US dollars JUST for one steak but flavor is flavor. I digress, the steak here was supposed to be Medium-well with an emphasis on Medium but it came out Well Done and tough. I had to send it back and they sent out another Rib-eye. I had the porcini rub but I have to say, I would opt to have NOTHING on it IF I were to go again. The creamed corn was hard (for me in comparison to the melt-in-your-mouth corn in London ). The creamed spinach tasted correct. The Au Gratin was also hard to me. The Korean bbq bacon starter was very tasty and spicy. We had a gnat that made itself home on our bread so we didn’t really eat the bread. Loved our open booth seating near the private rooms. Cheesecake is definitely better than expected and I am not a cheesecake person at all. The flourless chocolate is like a thick mousse and not sweet - just the way I love it. Dessert was a highlight for sure. I wish they had a chocolate soufflé on the menu but oh well. Would I return again? In the future after I hit up all the other steakhouses in Raleigh (chain and private). I really wanted to love this place but, I was disappointed.

   We brought some friends to Capital Grill, it was their first time there. We all enjoyed our meals and their children enjoyed the kids meals they ordered. All steaks were cooked perfectly. We also got some mushrooms to go with the steaks, they were very good. The prices are a little high, but the service was top notch.

   This is a wonderful special occasion restaurant. Our server, Rachel, could not have been more friendly and attentive for our holiday/birthday lunch foursome. They also add a special birthday treat.
