The South Cotswolds holds many attractions and events and the Cat is superbly situated to be able to enjoy many of these. Both the historic towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury are within a stone’s throw of us.

A three-mile radius encompasses Westonbirt Arboretum and Westonbirt school, Highgrove gardens, and the Beaufort polo club. Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.

Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs.
Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers. Our menu changes with the seasons and availability of quality produce.

Excellent food and charming staff in this delightful friendly pub with a welcoming atmosphere. Slip ups over the timing of our orders were handled with courtesy and professionalism by well trained staff and generously resolved. This is a busy and popular pub but we enjoyed a relaxed evening warmed by a log-burning stove. Steak and Ale pie came with creamy mash and all veg had interesting flavours. Sea Bass came nicely cooked with delicious sauce. Can recommend the treacle tart.

Lovely pub and beautifully decorated for Christmas . Lovely log fire so really nice and cosy. Service was good and really helpful with some food allergy questions. The fish and chips were fantastic and the steak pie was equally as good. Worth a visit.

My duck was delicious but partner's pie was not very good. Runny gravy and the pastry lid was very thin, strange. Desserts were poor value, the popcorn on mine hadn't been cooked properly so still had rock hard bits.
