THE CATBIRD SEAT IS MOVING!

March marked our final month of service at 1711 Division Street, where we’ve proudly operated since 2011. After 14 incredible years in this intimate space, we’re excited to share that The Catbird Seat will soon relocate to the Bill Voorhees Building in Paseo South Gulch. Perched atop the building with sweeping views of the city, our new home opens the door to a new era, giving us the space and freedom to reimagine what we do with unbounded creativity and flexibility.

At this time, we are not accepting reservations. To be among the first to hear about our reopening and to join the waitlist for the new location, please visit www.thecatbirdseatrestaurant.com.

The Patterson House, our cocktail bar located directly beneath The Catbird Seat, will remain open through the end of April.

From the OpenTable editors: When it opened 2011, Strategic Hospitality’s flagship tasting restaurant kicked off a new era of fine dining in Nashville. In addition to racking up accolades from GQ and Bon Appétit, Catbird Seat has been an incubator for some of the city’s top chefs. Today, Tiffani Ortiz and Andy Doubrava command the open, counter-style kitchen, turning out innovative New American tasting menus that can stretch to 18 courses of dishes like a walnut cookie filled with chicken liver mousse and berry preserves.

    I always love coming here! The food is always top notch, the service great and I leave wishing the experience didn’t end. Very honored to have been at the last service in the original location and look forward to coming back to the new place soon.

    This was a super cool taster menu experience, filled with lots of creativity and new ingredients, even for a person who is lucky enough to eat out often. I was delighted to chat with the chef and was also excited to hear that they are moving to a new location that sounds like it may be more becoming of the excellent standard of food they are producing. With only 20 covers at a time, its a great spot for a special evening (with or without wine pairing).

    We were so excited to try Cat Bird Seat. We had been wanting to do this forever. We were expecting this to be the best dinners of our lives. Some items were good. Nothing was excellent and several of them were just meh. For this price point, it was very unimpressive. I would never go back and I would never recommend. Really, really disappointing.

    Absolutely outstanding. We often eat in highly regarded chef’s restaurants and this food, staff, and overall experience rivaled that of any 5 star food experience. These people love what they do and they are Friends and it shows in every aspect of the evening. We did the pairing as well which was outstanding. Thank you for a beyond special first evening in Nashville.

    We were undone by the amazing food, drink, presentation and most of all the HOSPITALITY. We dined with you all Saturday night for my sweetie's birthday, and here it is Monday night, and we are still talking about it, and telling everyone we know what a truly spiritual and magical experience it was. Many, many, many thanks. We were undone by your attention to detail...and the feast you continued to prepare and serve to us. 20 Gold Stars!!! -j

    Loved everything about this experience. It was more of an event, a food experience than just a dinner. We loved being able to talk to the chefs about the planning of the menus, their sustainability measures, and their local sources. Everything we tasted was surprising and delicious and beautifully presented. Being able to see the preparation was so unique and interesting. We will definitely go again!!
