   The Cavalier is our go-to whether a date night or meeting friends. The service level is unparalleled- they treat you like you are family and do all of the little things to make you feel valued as a customer. Very rare these days. On top of that the food and drinks can’t be beat - we have never had something that we didn’t thoroughly enjoy. So glad we found this little gem and look forward to many more nights spent there.

   We had cozy dinner on a rainy SF evening here and The Cavalier didn't disappoint! We started with their amazing deviled eggs, then shared the lamb plate and a caesar salad which was the perfect amount of food, especially with a Sipsmith martini or two!

   Very nice venue, the bar is very boutique style and interesting. Drinks were very tasty and food amazingly cooked

   The decor was lovely and posh, but it was very loud inside and they had an event going on with microphones… adding to the noise, and my food was VERY salty, greasy and a bit too vinegary. Everyone liked the desserts though and our server was so lovely and attentive.

   The bar area at the Cavalier is lively and a fun place to dine with friends or for a date at the bar. Cocktails are great and the full menu is offered. The Marlowe burger (their sister restaurant) with fries is delicious. The Skirt steak, beet salad, and Tuna Carpaccio were all solid. Special shout out to the host, Joel, who helped us with a last minute reservation on a busy night. Great team of servers and bartenders. Great place to go with a big group.

   Appreciated that they accommodated a last minute change to our reservation. Every dish was a bit heavy handed on the salt. Service was fine - not sure why all our dishes came out at once - pacing was terrible and our dishes barely fit on our table. We sat on the bar side - it was so loud, we could barely hear each other.

    The ambiance was great, the area is very sketchy so stay alert when parking. The food portions were small but tasty. The service wasn’t great, we were hosting customers and I was slightly embarrassed about the lack of attentiveness to our table. Also, there was a room rented out blaring music and the only thing between that and the dining area was a curtain, which made it difficult to hear the people I was talking with at our table. Overall, I would suggest this for a drinks and apps place, probably not dinner.
