Please use Opentable to book tables for food only, for drinks our bar area is first come first served and you can book tables in the garden for drinks on 02086505744. We will serve breakfast sandwiches 10am-12pm daily, Lunch Monday -Saturday 12-3pm and Dinner 5.30-9pm, on Sunday food hours are 12.5.30pm and drinks only in the evening.

Operating since 2014 and providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere unrivalled in the area – with an exceptional seasonal menu and great range of quality beers, ales and handpicked fine wines to accompany it.

Food was lovely, but my starter came out at the same time as the main which meant that by the time I started my Sunday roast it was warm rather than hot.

Very disappointing food. I used to go to The Chancery a lot but have not been in quite awhile because of ill health. I took a friend who had never been there before and quite frankly I was embarrassed at the poor quality of the food. We had the steak and ale pie and all the elements were substandard. The meat was tough, the cauliflower was overcooked and lukewarm at most. The mashed potato was bland. And there was not really enough gravy. I was really upset but did not want to make a fuss. I will not be going there again any time soon.

Lovely gastropub interior . The food and service were excellent and extremely good value. A great pace to visit.

Typical pub grub, really good but could do with a slightly larger range! Desserts could do with fresh fruit option. I really enjoy the pub and the staff are always so happy and helpful!
