Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry,having owned and operated over 50 successful restaurant concepts in South Africa, Germany, and the U.S. Paul began his career as a manager and worked his way up to franchise owner, then Director of Operations.
He opened Paul's Pizza Shops - a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas in 1994.
Paul later developed a new concept, becoming the Executive Chef, CEO and partner at Peli Peli - a nationally recognized South African Fusion Restaurant which opened in 2009 in Houston, Texas. Having retired from Pelipeli in 2018 he has returned to his original location at Vintage Park with his latest concept The Chefs Table.
Chef Friedman says this is by far my best creation yet and I hope to leave a legacy here for my children and grandchildren to be proud of.

The food was amazing. I normally get the Lollipop Chops because they are so delicious but decided to try something different, Beef Wellington. It was out of this world and according to my husband the Impala was delicious! Our server, Daniel, was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and in a word, excellent! We’ll be returning sooner rather than later!

Our server, Phoenix, was very welcoming and informative. When we had questions, he had the answers. Our meal was outstanding and each dish was unique. We particularly enjoyed the filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, the brussels sprouts, and, of course, the sticky toffee pudding. We can't wait until our next visit!

We have been to The Chef’s Table many times before. The food tonight was definitely not the quality we have experienced in the past. The steak was not high quality and the stuffed shrimp were not fresh. Service was good but the quality of the food makes us question a return trip. It felt as if something was different about the restaurant.

Chef’s Table has become our go to get out restaurant. The location is killer, food drinks and atmosphere make it a wonderful night out. Just love it & they have the most unique menu I’ve seen in quite a while.
