The Chelsfield is a majestic 1930's pub nestled in the splendid parish of Chelsfield in Southeast London. A second home for our locals, The Chelsfield is a space to relax, unwind and unite with loved ones.     Went for Monday night dinner with family. Welcoming bar staff. The restaurant wasn’t busy. Unfortunately they didn’t have chicken that was on the menu so we had burgers and a lamb dish. The food was delicious. Could not fault it at all. I asked for oat milk with my tea, expecting a no, but that wasn’t an issue. The highlight of the evening was definitely the wonderful guy who served us. He was a very helpful, jovial and deserves a special mention. Thank you

    We were the only dinners for most of the time and the food was excellent as we're the staff. It took a while for the food to arrive but it was all made fresh so fair enough. Will difinitely be going again and thought it was a very varied menu.

    Excellent food & service Full marks. Food was piping hot. Crackers on table a great touch. V attentive waiting staff

    Very good choice of dishes on the menu. Food was excellent, lamb very tender and tasty. The service was also excellent, waiter and waitress were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    Excellent service from the staff, friendly and cheerful. The food was wonderful and dessert was to die for. Would recommend a Sunday lunch there.

    I was disappointed with the quality of the rump steak on the lunch menu. It was grissly and touch, and hardly any onions served with it. The menu stated drinks included. I was charged for a coffee and a Coca Cola which looked to be included. The service was “adequate”. She bought our food and gave us the bill. Not sure I’ll be returning.

    Dear Lorraine, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you were not 100% satisfied. I'd like to point out that the lunch menu clearly states what drinks are/aren't included in the deal and coffee isn't one of those choices. In regards to the Coke, that was included in the deal but you were charged an extra £3.00 as you had chosen to go with the open steak sandwich which as stated on the menu, has an extra surcharge of £3. I am glad to hear that the service was adequate. Please also note that we do not generally do table service in the bar area but as I saw that your friend was on crutches, I thought a little extra help would have been appreciated.     The bar staff were lovely. Very polite and helpful. Bar area was loud. I would choose the dining room next time. Menu was a little limited. More healthy options please.

    The food was very good but the service was awful. Instead of desert we ordered the coffee and mini desert. The coffee came quite quickly and we expected the deserts to follow. Half an hour later I asked if they had forgotten the deserts but was told that they were busy. Not what I was expecting.
