   We enjoyed a very nice meal for two on a Monday lunchtime. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly. The ambiance inside was lovely and the food was great. This was our first visit and we would not hesitate recommending the Chequers to friends and family. Thanks to the team for making a memorable birthday!

   Perfect friendly service abd great ambience and special treats for friends birthday. Extensive menu with very good range for all tastes different from other pubs and all delicious. We’ll be back there very soon!

   This a lovely venue. The staff were friendly and professional. Service was great and we were not rushed through the courses. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal choices.

   We came for our anniversary and the staff made it so special, we had a lovely table, an anniversary card and a special surprising dessert. Those touches made it feel even more special. The food was outstanding. It was a relaxing atmosphere, the staff couldn't be more friendly. Would highly recommend!

   A good experience and very busy on Sunday for late lunch. Staff were extremely nice. We were seated in the overflow area with the families with children (we were 2 adults) which was a shame as I had pre booked. But the burger was one of the best I’ve had in a long time while roast beef Sunday lunch was okay without being great. Would go again if just for the nice staff and incredible burger.

   Our Sunday lunch was faultless and very tasty as usual. Even catering for gluten free provided lots of choices and careful delivery to the table to prevent contamination. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff show how intuitive and professional they are by providing everything you need, not rushing you and always being courteous too. We have visited many times and will be returning soon.

   Absolutely amazing! We went there as a post wedding celebration and were greeted with a card! Food was incredible and staff were lovely! Even gave us a free desert at the end with a candle! Couldn't recommend enough!
