A regular midway meeting place with friends. Delicious food - the game sausages were terrific - friendly & efficient service in lovely surroundings. Worth driving a little out of the way to visit.

Enjoyable for the most part but we found the pub very noisy and at a table for two being seated near a much larger table did not make for easy conversation. The food was fine and the service good as well.

This was a pleasant meal, especially my liver, which was done perfectly. My wife's burger was nice but average. One observation we made was the lack of fish on the menu, apart from fish and chips. A seabass or seabream dish would be a nice alternative. Service was friendly and attentive.

You do not expect such great food to come out of a very traditional country pub, with low beamed ceilings, dogs welcome and muddy boots outside. I loved the fact the food was like a fine dining restaurant would serve (but you have traditional pub warmers on the menu like sausage and mash) but the ambiance is of a warm relaxed local. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food.
