Set in the former Old Westminster Library – a Grade II listed building still with books lining the walls - The Cinnamon Club is a multiple award winning restaurant like no other with grandeur and character that perfectly complimented by outstanding food, classy cocktails and an outlandish wine list.

The team of chefs, headed up by Vivek Singh, Chef Rakesh Nair and Master Chef PD Khan aim to celebrate British ingredients with an Indian spice flair. Known for it's excellent tasting menu, seasonal set menus, Pre and post-theatre menus - they are known to cater to a wide range of palettes and preferences - game during the reason, seafood at it's best or a wide choice for vegetarians / vegans.

Loved our experience - made even better by 'bring your own bottle Friday'. Beautiful room, interesting and delicious food. Very original, high quality and very fresh. We ate quite early but as we left the place was buzzing. Highly recommended.

We absolutely fell in love with this place. We are both book lovers and the feeling of being a library all be it a plus and comfortable library was lovely. The bar felt really nice. The service was professional and friendly. We are absolutely putting this on our list to visit regularly

Service was a bit slow although the restaurant was by no means full. The main problem was the temperature, which was distinctly chilly. This impacted the food which was otherwise delicious.

My partners food was good, he enjoyed everything that he ordered. I ordered the vegan starter of the stuff pepper, that was lovely nothing but mind blowing. Then I orders one of the two vegan mains the most expensive one of £25 and was very underwhelming , it was literally just vegetable rice with a side of kale cabbage. We did complain and we got it comped which was nice. The staff and service was amazing very accommodating and understanding. Decor and ambience were beautiful

Food was served cold, like it had been sitting for a while. Parantha bread came at end of meal. No lamb chops on the menu. Communication of the menu could have been better. It’s a great restaurant, with polite service, that has been around for a long time for a reason but on this occasion it lacked the finishing touch you expect when dining here.

Food here was absolutely tasteless in my opinion. If you're going to spend your money on good indian food I would go anywhere else! We ordered the Tandoori free range chicken breast with pickling spices, kachri chutney and Lamb chukka - South Indian stir-fried lamb with Tellicherry pepper, curried yoghurt for starters. The chicken was cooked beautifully, but lacked any sort of seasonings. The kachari chutney was so bland and there was no pickling in the spices. The lamb was cooked okay, a bit chewy and the sauce was oddly too sweet. You felt inclined to finish it due to how much you are spending. For mains we got Koorgi style double cooked pork belly, masala mash, raw mango and chilli sambal (g) Grilled Jumbo Black Tiger prawn, seafood makhani sauce, rice vermicelli. The Jumbo prawns were cooked a bit too much that I struggled to cut my knife through it and once again, the makhani sauce was too sweet and lacked any sort of seasoning, besides what I can imagine was sugar. The pork belly was too sweet as well, even the table next to us left it halfway. It's a shame, I heard great things about this restaurant but it seems to have gone down hill and lacks any sort of seasoning. This isn't indian food and if you are looking for proper indian food go anywhere else.
