The Clare Castle Port Melbourne is one of Melbourne's finest pub restaurants. Pub classics are a feature but we raise the bar with amazing char grilled steaks, incredible seafood including prawns, beautiful fresh fish, freshly shucked oysters and our signature Moreton Bay bugs available in numerous dishes. We also have vegetarian and gluten free options and many other delights.

We offer multiple dining options: FULL SERVICE in the Restaurant and on the Restaurant Terrace. BAR SERVICE (and optional QR code ordering) in the Bar and on the footpath tables. We also have a fabulous private wine room for your special occasion (please ring to enquire about this room).

The non existence of booths was annoying because I couldn't get out of my wheelchair.

All enjoyed our selected meals. The Morten Bay bugs were delicious. Two if us had porterhouse steaks and they were cooked as requested and tender. Josh was our server and did a great job.

All the food was excellent. We had fish and chips, calamari, lamb chops, Morton bug and spaghetti, and bug sliders. All delicious.

My experience at Clare Castle has always been excellent. Excellent food service and environment.

Service from the two lads at the bar and then the wait staff was top notch. Table was set classy with couple of modern touches in the table mats. Food was good. Morton Bay Bug Spaghetti was excellent. Steak seemed smaller than the 280g it was indicated as on the menue but was cook well and the pepper sauce was excllent and were the chips. Only disappointment was the garlic bread. Four (4) tiny slices of baguette for $11.00 ith a garlic butter that hardly had any garlic in it. It is genrally expected people will share bread. This was a pittiful serving given the price.

All the meals were great except for the steak, it was way over cooked. The other meals were devious. The Marinara pasta is the best l have had. Great service and ambiance.
