   It's a beautiful hotel and space and the Thanksgiving-forward meal was excellent: A mushroom stuffed turkey roulade with yams and brussel sprouts - the turkey was moist and the entire meal was flavorful The pumpkin cheesecake was very tasty. The service and our waitress, Monique, was fantastic and attentive, and the ambience was perfect for our family holiday meal.

   The our server was terrible. He got the wrong wine and after we pointed it out, he got defensive and lied. BTW The wine he brought $50 per bottle more than what we ordered. Thankfully, the manager made it right and took $100 (the difference between what we ordered and what we were brought) off of our check. BTW She was great, the food was very good but the server was LAME. It kind of ruined our time.

   Disappointed and will not be returning. We ordered the linguine and clams and crab risotto and both were underwhelming. Both dishes lacked flavor and the crab dish was described as lump crab and had only one lump of crab with strings of crab mixed into the risotto. Maybe it was an off night for them but I would not recommend.

   It's so nice to have a good spot for a sitdown breakfast on campus - the food was very good - especially the Rosemary potatoes and breakfast sausage - both delicious and high quality. Also, portions are very good so excellent value.

   Restaurant Review: A Wonderful Evening at The Common Ground I recently dined at The Common Ground and had an overall great experience. From the moment we were seated, Rick, our waiter, made the evening truly enjoyable. He was professional, attentive, and had a great balance of friendliness without being intrusive. He was easy to talk to and offered helpful recommendations without being pushy, which added to the relaxed vibe of our meal. I ordered the filet, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and exactly how I like it. The sides were fresh and complemented the dish beautifully. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, especially given the quality of the food. This place definitely offers good value for the money. The only downside was the lighting. For a dinner after sunset, I expected a more dim, intimate ambiance. However, the lighting was quite bright, which took away from the cozy atmosphere I was hoping for. It didn’t ruin the experience, but a softer, warmer light would have made the evening perfect. Overall, I’d recommend The Common Ground for its excellent service (thanks to Rick!) and delicious food. Just be prepared for a bit more brightness than you might expect for an evening meal.
