Established at the top of Portland's Old Port since 2009, The Corner Room offers guests a convival & socialable atmosphere with exceptional service. A gathering spot where friends & families can share a snack or a meal. Enjoy seating at the taps, antipasti bar, or table service -all with views of the open kitchen.
Head Chef Greg Wilson & Sous Chef Jason Macguire create staple dishes using local & Italian ingrediants with authentic techniques. The menu is pleasingly varied. Delight in the Bruschetta, Verduras, Procsciutto & Greens Pizza or Fettucini Bolognese to name a few - all served with a well rounded wine, spirit, & beer selection. Founded By Chef/Owner Harding Lee Smith, The Corner Room, is part of "The Rooms" Restaurant Group.
Parties of 5 or more & guests with any questions are asked to call (207) 879 4747 during regular buisness hours & we will be happy to assist you. Please note that tables will be held for 10 minutes after reservation time.

The food was great but it was a little drafty. Not really sure that was fixable but I wasn’t even near the front door and I was cold. I’m being picky. Everything else was great.

Amazing food, amazing food service. Only issue was being seated by the front door when it was super cold outside, despite a number of tables in the back of the restaurant (aka warm) being available.

We were very impressed with our server, who was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was very good, indeed the pan seared Haddock was exceptional. However, the room was so dark that all of us kept using our phone flashlights to see the menu and the food enters when they would arrive. When you can't enjoy seeing the food you are eating, the ambiance or mood lighting is TOO DARK.

The best pasta of my life (mushroom pappardell)! We love coming here. The atmosphere is cozy New England relaxing.

The food and service were great, but the noise was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. That said, we’ll go back.

One of the best servers / service we have had all year. Looked like a good value happy hour at the Bar only. The Pasta dishes were amazing. The pizza was very good, but not as good as the pasta. The bread was also great.
