Steak pie was excellent. Service very friendly and helpful, but food took a long time to arrive( I do accept that Christmas week is a busy week so this was probably to be expected). As a long term vegetarian I was disappointed to have to select from vegan options, and I have never tasted anything quite as unpleasant as the plant life burger. Music was unpleasantly loud, so conversation was difficult, but that could have been just our table.

Had a lovely evening with a friend at the countryman. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Well priced. Overall, a very good experience.

Fabulous food plentiful and well served. The staff are another level . They are Very friendly , happy and efficient .

Meeting up with friends pre Christmas. It was a nice occasion and we enjoyed it. Good variety of dishes to please everyone

Enjoyed a lovely, leisurely brunch, good food, excellent service, everlasting tea coffee in warm surroundings. Highly recommended

Table booked for 12 pm took a long time for anyone to come and take a drink order and another 40 mins before the drinks arrived, food was nice when it arrived, I think they were having technical issues with tills, I also had to tell them they had given me the wrong bill at the end of the meal, seemed very disorganised although the staff were very pleasant, not had a problem like this before at this pub so may have just been a bad day.

We are in England on a family holiday (in our home town) took our Father out to a roast carvery & it was probably the best carvery we’ve ever been to! The service was friendly & very helpful, the food fabulous!
