                                                                                                                                          Cowford is always a treat for us. We do this every year for Galentines Day. The food never disappoints, the service is outstanding, the atmosphere is amazing. I recommend this for any special occasion.

                                                                                                                                          We ate here last night for the first time since we moved here. We had really high hopes! The restaurant is really nice. Our waiter Kennedy, was great! We ordered the fresh fish entree and the American Wagyu Spinalis steak. We ordered the steak prepared medium. When I cut into the steak, it was completely rare so we had to send it back. A women from the management team came over to apologize, which was nice. The only problem is that it took another 8+ minutes to re-cook it and they didn’t offer to keep our other entree warm so my husband was almost finished with his meal by the time I got mine back. Not to mention my steak was still not cooked to medium but we were over it & were needing to leave to get to the PBR event at Vystar. So by this point so we opted not eat it. Just a bummer for $100 steak.

The rest of the food was good but the steaks were definitely the star, followed by the pimento Mac and cheese. Unfortunately, our server seemed very “off”. We were constantly having to chase things down…drinks, wine, bread and even the bill. The service from our waiter just did not match up to the food or the price tag.

We drove in from out of town, made a late reservation, had a wonderful table and waiter. The atmosphere and food was out of this world.. A must if you are eating in downtown Jacksonville.

Husband loved the food especially the bone in ribeye with the burbon bacon jam and bone marrow butter. Wife didn’t like the food at all. Had lobster and shrimp was very chewy and shrimp lacked flavor. But then again shes a texture person. Asparagus tasted weird didnt like it. Other than that everything else was great, very pricy but worth it for the portion size, quality etc. Dessert was 50/50 cinnamon roll was amazing but the red velvet cheesecake was ehh ok, the crust was hard as a brick had tasted like nothing. Would rather have an original crust of a cheesecake for that dessert. Service was amazing,everything was fresh,parking was super close but $20 :( nice clean location. Great experience to try out atleast once.

Great bar service prior to getting seated. Got seated a few minutes prior to our reservation at our request. The happy hour was in force so our drinks were a little discounted. The seafood tower was magnificent! The filet and the pork chop were amazing. The duck fat cornbread was super-unique. You must get the tower! it would be appropriate for an entree to share by 4 people. Lovely experience.
