The menu has a good selection of gastro pub favourites. All well cooked and resonably priced. Great local restaurant.

I was looking forward to eating here as I read all the good reviews. Our table was for 4 and booked for 4pm on Sunday, which I imagine was after a busy lunch service. We were 10 minutes late but there were plenty of empty tables. Told ur table wasn't ready so we had a drink at the bar, bit odd as it is a pub so wasn't bothered. After sitting at the table had to wait 10 minutes or so, no one came over and so had to ask for menus. Ordered 3 different roasts, unfortunately had to wait an hour if not a little longer for food. We noticed that the couple nearby got their lamb before us, even though they arrived and ordered after us. When the food did arrive 2 dishes served first and then the waiter was in the middle of bringing over the final dish but stopped to serve another customer a drink At no point did anyone explain or apologise for the long wait and when I queried why the optional service charge was automatically entered into the card machine without asking me first I got of a bit of a huffy response to my explanation as to why I didn't want to pay it. I would have thought that would have been the opportunity to apologise and explain the delay. The food itself was pretty average given the price.

Great Sunday roast (as always) The desert (cinnamon waffle) was questionable. The ratio of waffle and ice cream to stodgy chocolate sauce was completely off. Service was a bit slow as we were sat on a table in the corner but would still go again

Dinner with friends. Friendly young staff. Reasonably extensive menu, although one of the specials was finished by 8 o'clock. Good wine list. Food was good, although had lamb chop which was slightly over-cooked. Before 9 o'clock they suddenly dimmed the lights. What is it with restaurants wanting people to eat in gloom ? Second time happened to us in a week !

Good food and friendly service in this Camberwell neighbourhood restaurant. The salmon was delicious and an interesting range of starters, with extensive wine list. The tables are a bit close together and it does get loud as it gets full. A reliable place to go for a dinner date or casual evening with friends

Table was very generous. Lady who served us was very patient as we were a group of friends catching up. Food was top notch, although the brownie was a bit dry and crumbly. Overall, great night and won't hesitate to go back or recommend.

Great service and food, quite pricey though especially because you have to pay for sides as the mains are quite small.

Really lovely little pub tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Camberwell Road. The service was fantastic, great wine choice and the food was definitely above average. Quite pricey for a Sunday Roast but I loved the overal experience and would definitely return.

good lunch at reliable local. Shared the halloumi salad which was delicious and then followed with the blackend salmon which was tasty. Delicious bread and good service in this tucked away Camberwell restaurant
