We aim to make everyone feel welcome, whatever their preferences. Our seasonal menu includes vegetarian and vegan options and we cater for all dietary requirements. As parents, owners Hannah and Mo appreciate the importance of including children around the table and offer young guests a smaller portion of many of our main menu dishes.

We are open all day *Tuesday through to Sunday, and always have something to eat on offer but to avoid disappointment please note our key timings: Tuesday-Saturday: Breakfast is served from 9am - 11am, Lunch from 12 mid-day to 2.30pm, then Dinner (including our new Children’s Menu) from 5.30pm with last orders by 9pm. On Sundays we serve Brunch from 9am until 11am and then a Roast Lunch from 12.00 midday until last orders at 3pm. In between those times we offer our famous sausage rolls, scotch eggs, olives, pastries and cakes (subject to availability) as well as a full bar offering, non-alcoholic drinks, smoothies and hot drinks.

The lunch menu had an excellent and varied choice of options. Our meals were really delicious. Excellent service and ambiance. The Cross Keys has become one of my favourite places to dine and meet friends.

A lovely pub restaurant with good tasty food. Friendly staff. Have been here several times and returned! A very good place to come and eat.

Another very enjoyable meal at the Cross Keys in Sherborne, Dorset. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the allotted table was well positioned and the food was excellent as was the house red and white wines. We shall definitely return.

Fairly basic accommodation in the pub, but clean, and a very friendly landlord and staff and superb food. The buffalo mozzarella was excellent and the pork chop huge and delicious. And they do Guinness Zero, too, which is great for the driver!

We had a very enjoyable lunchtime meal at the Cross Keys. As always the ambient noise levels were good and conversation was easy. The service was timely and professional and the food was really nice, as was the wine. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and one we shall repeat at some point in the not too distant future. I strongly recommend the Cross Keys for dining either at lunchtime or in the evening as we have also enjoyed dining there in the evening.

Had two meals here, food was good, service spot on. The interior was not what I expected from the outside, pleasant surprise, excellent decor gave it a more upmarket feel. Can recommend the 'ale'. Definitely worth a visit.

Booked via opentable arrived didnt seem interested that we had reserved. Mains were fine. Service was via two young girls who required further training. Pudding menu was restrictive so ordered two liqueur coffees. Bar man not interested in making them. Seemed coffee machine had been put away for the night. So instead of having more drinks left for another venue. Mo was very impressive the previous night but not great when off was my impression.

We have dined here several times and would thoroughly recommend visiting. All the food we have eaten has been delicious, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The service has always been excellent and the atmosphere special and welcoming. All dietary requirements catered for including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and meat eaters! The Cross Keys is a very welcome and popular place to eat in Sherborne.
