   Went for pre theatre meal. Service was very slow. Food was rather basic. I would perhaps return for happy hour.

   Wonderful food, great service. Music started about a half hour after we arrived. It was not extremely loud and the singer’s voice was pleasant. So we could still talk. Great experience. We will be back!

   Came for the Santa Brunch on 12/14. Listing mentioned a chef curated buffet, waffle bar, French toast and bottomless mimosas. We arrived and not only could nobody tell us where the brunch was (a random ballroom and not The Dan) but the brunch consisted of a pot of runny eggs, bacon and stale waffles. The only bright side was the photographer and Santa who were great. I do feel bad because it looked like they were expecting more decorations and had to move spots to try and make things more festive. Not sure what happened here but somebody dropped the ball.

   We got stuck in a traffic jam. They graciously accomodated our delayed reservation, and sped up our food so we didn't miss our show. The service was fantastic, the ambience was fun and the food was terrific. We will definitely return!

   The Dan was a great place for the birthday dinner we went for. We were seated promptly for our reservation time, though we probably wouldn't have needed one since they weren't super busy on the Tuesday evening. It was beautiful inside, but our reservation was at 7:45pm and ALLLLLL of the overhead lights were on which was not fitting of the vibe a restaurant like that should have after the dinner service has started. The food was delicious and the prices were good for what was ordered. Our server was not very attentive especially since the restaurant was not very busy and we had to get his attention more than a few times to simply place a drink order or to get a water refill after sitting with empty glasses for too long. I put on the reservation that we were coming for a birthday and I also mentioned it to the server and he didn't ask if we would like anything done for the occasion or even offer dessert options at the end of the meal for us to choose from. Overall, we will go back since it's close to where we live and the food was good, but we'll probably just sit at the bar next time and hope we don't get blinded by the bright overhead lights.

   My husband had barbecued ribs. They were dry, very little neat in the bones. And the coleslaw had no dressing. I had burrata. It was one “lump” if burrata with some warmed grape tomatoes. One huge piece of Italian bread that I used to sop up the small amount of dressing. Too expensive for a meal that I would have sent back except we were tight on time on our way to the Straz Center. The ambience and attentive staff were the only good things about this evening.

   I wanted for this to be a great experience but unfortunately it was not. Our appetizers were great. Our main meal not so great. The whole tables food came out cold. The short rib was not tender and the portion size was extremely small. The asparagus that came with it was just small shavings throughout. We were extremely disappointed with the entire experience. There are way better options in Tampa for the price.

   We had reservations for 6:45 and they were so unorganized even though no one was there that they couldn’t seat us us until after 7pm. We had party of 5 and the seating was just weird…the tables are too close together and the people at the tables near us were so loud and obnoxious it was uncomfortable. Our waiter was very nice but service is slow. Food was just ok and not worth the price.

   Beautiful place, great spot for drinks. Food was a little sub par to my expectations. Noise level 10/10, not due to music, but rather exceptionally loud patrons.

    Wonderful experience overall. GREAT service. (JJ our waiter was Wonderful!). Very nice atmosphere. Food was good. Snapper was dry and flavorless but the rest of the food we had was Great. They took care of our issue and JJ even helped us get a ride to our event using the hotel shuttle. We will definitely be back!
