The 1863 Lounge is an intimate bar located in The Davenport hotel right in the heart of Dublin. Offering a fine selection of whiskeys and a mouth-watering European inspired menu. This tranquil space is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Choose from our extensive menu of specialty cocktails or indulge in some fine wines.

Our Head Chef has carefully designed our menus, which are expertly executed by our team of experienced cooks. Enjoy beautiful food with bold flavours made from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients in a lavish environment. With great service and a variety of dishes, The Davenport is an ideal choice for any occasion. Join us for lunch, served from 12 pm to 4 pm, or dinner, served from 4 pm to 9.30 pm.

Very pleasant environment with pleasant, helpful service. The menu is limited, but the standard of the food is good and nicely presented. The restaurant is next to the bar which was quiet when we were there and easy for pre and post dinner drinks.

Do not book this restaurant for an evening meal. I booked it online for 6 people for a Saturday night. Received lots of confirmations etc., When we arrived for our 7.00 meal the restaurant had only just seen it and were very indifferent to the fact that they did not have a table for us. In fact they informed us the restaurant does not open in the evenings and they would try to accommodate us by putting 2 small round coffee tables together. The manager of the area did not seem to give a fig. So much for Irish hospitality. Send across the road to Kennedy’s and had a lovely night.

Well, the ambience was beautiful, The service was rude and uncomfortable. Instead of telling us what was not available to our orders and then said by the way we are out of that. The prices compared to the lack of service, poor attitude were not justified. Our second day we decided to try lunch. Even worse than the day before. This hotel restaurant surprisingly was not prepared for handling a large crowd due to the concert.

Excellent Food. Service could be slow so patience is needed. Worth the wait. High energy with casual sofa style seating.

Amazing experience at the Davenport! Food was delicious, the restaurant looked beautiful and the service was really good! Would definitely recommend!
