   First time for all three of us and definitely a great evening out. Celebrating a friend’s birthday and he chose the lock. Mario, our waiter, was excellent. Very personable and friendly. Pacing of the meal was good and he was very attentive. The birthday diner chose the scallops which looked great. He said they were very good! My other friend and I had the pesto-yum. Had to check out the dessert menu and settled on the pot de crème; talk about presentation.

   Second time eating at this fantastic restaurant and will definitely be back. Everyone enjoyed their beverages, from the best old fashions to cosmo martinis, and the appetizers and dinners were top notch! We especially loved the Eggplant appetizer! Very fun restaurant!!

   Keeping my reviews short is very challenging, so I will try to summarize why The Davidson is a great place to go. Atmosphere - loud and energetic in a fun way! Service - friendly and efficient. Both of the servers we have had were great. Value - we think it is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the dishes. Here is what we have had over two different visits: Tuna Tartare Cones - tasty little cones with a cute presentation. Hamachi Crudo - fantastic!!! Lovely combo of flavors with the blood orange, EVOO, and basil. Eggplant - a must order. Great ingredients to compliment the smokey eggplant. Unique. Brick Chicken Au Vin - one of the best restaurant chicken dishes we have had. Juicy chicken, sinful sauce, and very buttery mashed potatoes. Would order over and over. Vodka Rigatoni - great sauce and the pasta was cooked well. Not enough sausage or peas. Scallops Grenobloise - too much butter...in a bad way. Dish comes saturated, so I asked for the browned butter sauce on the side. They obliged, and every element of the dish still had plenty of butter. We only used about a teaspoon of the butter we ordered on the side. Not enough squash puree, and the beans were undercooked. I reviewed this dish last September, so maybe they have improved on it since then. Scallops themselves were divine. This place will definitely be in our rotation for Fountain District restaurants, and after seeing Broadway shows. I hear they have a great happy hour. Looking forward to checking that out.

   This was our second time dining at The Davidson with another couple and it was their first time. We loved our experience the first time and this time did not disappoint. Our friends loved everything about your restaurant and thanked us for inviting them to join us. Love the atmosphere and the food is amazing. Our server was incredibly attentive. We will be back and continue to recommend The Davidson to our friends. Thank you

    Waitress was nice but had to request multiple times for ordering, service for drinks for drinks, condiments.She was not up to the standard we have enjoyed on prior Visits
