The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     We have always had fantastic dinners at the Del Bar through the years. In the last year a remodel was completed which has made it quite busy and loud in some areas. Capacity has definitely increased. We will continue to frequent the Del Bar.

                                                    We have been to the Del Bar before and we are always very pleased. The atmosphere and service are always top notch. We started with appetizers of shrimp cocktail and stuffed mushrooms. I had the crab legs and my wife had the shrimp dejounge. We were both very happy with our food. We were having a seafood night, but we know from past experience that the steaks are also wonderful. We were too full for dessert, but our drinks were also very good. All in all a very pleasant night.

                                                    Food was great as always except for one of our guests, steak was too salty. The waitress apologized and removed it from our tab. That type of service is extraordinary. We have been dinning at this establishment since it was called Jimmy’s Delbar - and will continue to do so.

                                                    We love Del Bar. The food is always delicious and the server was very kind and friendly and efficient. It is our very favorite place.

                                                    Our favorite place to celebrate for any reason! We have tried many local restaurants and DelBar is hands down our family’s go to! The food and service cannot be beat!

                                                    The food was excellent, but the service felt overly rehearsed, with a strong focus on upselling the menu & rushing us through. Our server asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, we mentioned it was our anniversary. While we appreciated being informed about our options, the interaction was awkward, so we ultimately just left without asking for dessert.
