The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     Still the best Super Club in the Dells in my opinion. The Del bar has never disappointed me in my 3 years of living here. The wait staff, bartenders and hostesses are all professional, personable and provide excellent service. The food is prepared properly. They are known for their steaks. I order their Salmon almost every visit and occasionally the prime rib. Not a big red meat person. They are always prepared to my liking. I love the Spinach salad with warm bacon dressing. If you like spinach I highly recommend it. Drinks are perfect. I eat here at least 6-10 times a year. We bring out of town guests and have business meetings here. If he in town and looking for great atmosphere and meal, I can't recommend the Dell bar enough! Also be sure to make a reservation or you might not get a spot!😃

                                                    The Del-Bar is a consistent favorite when we’re in the Wisconsin Dells area. This time a weekday dinner for three. We had fantastic cocktails, a jumbo shrimp cocktail appetizer, salads and entrees… filet mignon, shrimp de jonghe and pasta carbonara. Server was great.
