The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents.                                                     We always have our favorite steaks but decided to try the cordon bleu and walleye last night. They were both amazing! Never had an issue or something we didn’t like there! Love this place!

                                                    Fantastic supper club! Ambiance, service, drinks and meals all on point! How do they make those magical hash browns that are crispy, but not greasy. Sooooo good! I wish this restaurant was closer to my home....

                                                    Sometimes, everything just clicks...that best describes our latest experience at the Del-Bar. Dinner began with dry vodka martinis perfectly created and chilled just right. (Off menu) crab cakes were sweet, meaty and delicious! Clam chowder was tasty as always - always a touch cool for my preferences. Salads were crisp and tasty. The Blackened Sea Bass with smashed cauliflower and asparagus was excellent! The lobster roll was generous and delicious accompanied by generous portions of fries. Service was superb (thank you, Jessie!) and the team pitched in seamlessly. As I said...everything clicked last night.

                                                    Service and food were exceptional as usual. Table seven should be removed from the restaurant. I felt like I was sitting in the kitchen. Staff busy prepping food for delivery to tables and filling to go containers and placing dirty dishes in the bin within 2.5 feet of my table Garbage can placed under the workspace was a trip hazard for the employees (del bar needs to do better for their awesome staff).

                                                    The walleye tasted superb! My wife enjoyed her scallops very much. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. Our table was in a quiet area as we had requested. We will go again.

                                                    We thoroughly enjoyed everything. We’re visiting the area from Mississippi but will definitely dine again when we visit the area. Everything was excellent

                                                    This our favorite place but was a bit disappointed this time. Steak was rare rare and hash browns were cold. But we will be back next month.

                                                    Reservation was made in advance and we were seated within minutes of that time. Drinks served, apps came quickly and were liked by all. Main dishes where excellent and all where happy. Overall a great dining experience, only complaint it was a little chilly in the area we were seated. Highly recommended
